I earned my B.S. in Psychology, with minors in Applied Anthropology and Public Health, here at UNCC and am now a first year Ph.D. student studying Health Psychology with a clinical concentration. I am also the lab manager of the Levens Emotion and Cognition Lab.
Research Interests
I am interested in how self-regulatory techniques, like mindfulness and emotion regulation, relate to health behaviors and disease outcomes. Specifically, I am interested in pursuing research designing health behavior change interventions that focus on self-regulation and stress management, particularly in regards to women’s health. I hope to pursue a career in health psychology working in an academic medical center or an integrative care center, providing care to a diverse population group.
